Wade’s House has undergone complete interior and exterior renovations. Dave Stafford re-excavated the front of the home for a parking space and new stairs. Many thanks to Ron Stacey, who is responsible for a new roof and exterior paint. We appreciate the donation of paint from Sherwin-Williams Paint Co., and to Newport Rental Service for the scaffolding. Shannon Tower and Chester Short did a wonderful job building the front staircase and the new steps leading into the water tank in back. Rex Tucker and his son Erik beautifully landscaped the front of the home, complete with an irrigation system.
The interior of Wade’s has been designed to reflect a zen environment, with custom flooring throughout the downstairs installed by Jeff Kunze. Talley chose a stunning mosaic backdrop for the powder room. The Hampton-style kitchen is accented with coastal stoneware pottery by Tawnette Dorsey Dixon, and includes high-end appliances, as well as marble slab countertops, gifted by Pental Architectural Surfaces. Dave Buttons and Raydar Plumbing provided new plumbing for the home.
The easily ascending staircase features unique and thought-provoking pieces of art. Sisal carpeting, hand-crafted moldings, and Venetian plaster walls accentuate the panoramic views from the upstairs suite. The primary bathroom offers a large soaking tub, donated by American Standard, a spacious walk-in shower, with custom tile gifted by Steve Holmes of Portland Direct Tile & Marble. The bath was creatively designed by Sharon Capri and Talley, and installed by Leslie Goodman.
