As an artist, I create colorful,playful, unexpected pieces fromthings I find in nature. I usuallycreate art for the joy of it, butwhen I was invited to give aquarter horse a makeover, I didn’teven hear the details; I was justgiddy with excitement to be partof this fun and unusual project,which benefits such a good cause.

‘Zerah’ is the Hebrew word for‘new beginning.’ My inspirationwas the idea of something whichseemed lost and gone forever, butis found again. Utterly changed,it emerges in beautiful, new, andunexpected ways. Applying mystyle to the pony wasn’t difficult.It was ever-evolving creatively,but I always had a general idea– it was a matter of making thatidea become a reality. I feel Zerahtruly showcases my artistic vision.I loved creating her, and I thinkthat feeling comes through in herdetails.
