Love

For me, art is both a passion and a necessity. It is a way to connect to myself and others.

Usually, I come up with ideas very organically; whereas, this project was something given to me, so I needed to find a way to make the piece my own. Rather than just ‘decorate’ it, I wanted to infuse it with energy, emotion, and, most of all, love.

Since my art usually expresses ideas of memories or afterlife, my ‘spirit child’ concept felt like a project-appropriate way to infuse myself into the piece. I love the shimmering light within it, creating a feeling of continuous motion within stillness. My pony brings me joy; I hope it brings out that same feeling in others.
